Great Basin Resource Watch (GBRW) and the Western Shoshone Defense Project filed on February 20, 2013 a "Motion for Preliminary Injunction" challenging the decision of the United States Department of the Interior and its Bureau of Land Management (BLM) to approve the Mount Hope Project. The proposed mine located in Eureka County, approximately 23 miles northwest of the town of Eureka.
